Blob of Flesh

Blob of Flesh is a soft sculpture made entirely of fabric, originally created as a wearable set piece for the absurdist performance Parding Your Beggon. Now reimagined as installation, it attempts to cling to the surrounding architecture and incorporate itself into the landscape, stretching its appendages outward in search of spatial belonging. Yet despite these efforts, Blob remains stubbornly, almost painfully, anthropomorphic. Its folds, veins, and flesh-like layers evoke the body in ways that are both humorous and unsettling. It hovers between recognition and distortion, celebrating the absurdity of form while questioning where the body ends and the space begins.
